As part of our monastery's ongoing formation of monks, there are some monks who are assigned to further academic studies that range in a variety of fields. Some of our monks are assigned away from the monastery during this time, while others remain at the abbey but travel for short periods away for studies. Each of our monks will use their skills in one of our many ministries. The monks presently assigned to further academic studies are: Br. Matthias for Seminary studies at the Catholic University of America, Fr. Elijah for Doctoral studies at the Pontifical University of Sant'Anselmo in Rome, Br. Dominic for Seminary and Liturgical Music studies at St. John's School of Theology, Br. Damien for studies in Apologetics, and Br. Raban for studies in English Literature.
